Biography

Ryan Whitlow is a doctoral candidate in the Counseling Psychology program at Chatham University. Additionally, Ryan is an Interdisciplinary Minority Fellowship Program fellow within the APA and Healthcare Alliance Promoting Pittsburgh Youth 2 (HAPPY2) Project Fellow. She holds a Master of Arts in Applied Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, Houston, and a Master of Education in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education. Her dissertation focus is on youth Social-Emotional Learning in Residential Treatment. Ryan aspires to be an advocate for communities of color to reduce stigma, educate, and improve mental health access and knowledge for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
